Common questions

How many hunt marks are there in FFXIV?

There are 204 elite hunt marks across all six expansions. A Realm Reborn has 17 B ranks, 17 A ranks and 17 S ranks. Every expansion after that has 12 B ranks, 12 A ranks and 6 S ranks, and Shadowbringers, Endwalker and Dawntrail each add one SS rank chain mark.

What is the difference between B, A and S rank hunts?

B ranks are passive, respawn within seconds and are killed for the weekly elite mark bill. A ranks respawn every four to six hours and are the targets of hunt trains. S ranks have special spawn conditions and much longer respawn windows. SS ranks only appear after a chain of kills following an S rank.

Is my hunt progress saved anywhere?
